What’s your opinion on Avenged Sevenfold?

So I love these guys, I think they're amazing, they have great lyrics and vocals and well everything else pretty much, although I don’t think they’ll be the same without the Rev =(

i lve em as well they are pretty good but usually i go for more melodic death metal

They should have the same general sound as they did with The Rev. Mike Portnay (Fill in drummer) is where Rev took a lot of his influences and inspiration from. The new album should be like The Rev never died or left them

I also enjoy my A7X. Although, you love them way more than I do I actually like the kind of mainstream sound to it. Although I wish M. Shadows would start screaming on the studio work again




What about their sound do you like hun? What sets them apart from other bands?

I hate these guys. Rev was good. the rest of the band, is overrated.

To be honest, it’s his vocals, they just seem to stand out to me. They give me chills

As much as I'd just love to give you a huge list, I'll just suggest a few Scream, Nightmare, Chapter Four, Remenissions, Afterlife, and Unholy Confessions. Those are some of my favorites. Hope you like =) I love pretty much all their songs but Sounding the Seventh Trumpet is probably my least favorite album by them.

D: I think that was one of their best albums myself. It was more underground and closer to metalcore.

I started listening to Nightmare, it started out good, then the speed it up and it went way down. I think it's his vocals. I hate them

Chapter Four is not awful, but still not a fan.

If you don't like M.'s vocals, it's going to be hard to get into any of their songs

I know, I'm thinking it may just be a few songs. Vocals can grow on someone. so I wil try more of their stuff.

Avenged Sevenfold for sure. City of Evil is probably my second

Their self titled CD showed a lot of growth from previous albums. I really like that album too. 'City of Evil' is the album that shot them into mainstream and contains quite a few really good songs. I don't think there's an album by them that I don't like in some way.
